The southern border last month saw the lowest number of apprehensions ever recorded by the United States, a reality which comes after security measures from President Donald Trump.

Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks announced over the weekend that there were just over 8,300 apprehensions of illegal aliens in February, amounting to roughly 300 apprehensions each day, rendering the month of February “the lowest month in recorded history” for the United States.

“We will continue to detect, arrest, identify, prosecute, and remove all individuals who dare to break our country’s laws,” he said. “The border is closed to illegal immigration. Do not come.”
