Justice Department admits Hunter Biden laptop is real

The confirmation came after the Biden administration asserted that the laptop story was Russian propaganda and social media platforms censored a bombshell story about the laptop shortly before the presidential election.

Justice Department attorneys confirmed that the infamous Hunter Biden laptop was real and left at a computer store with matching contents found in his cloud account, according to new court documents filed last week.

The confirmation came after the Biden administration asserted that the laptop story was Russian propaganda and social media platforms censored the bombshell story from The New York Post, which revealed the existence of the laptop shortly before the presidential election.

Miranda Devine, a reporter with The New York Post, reacted to the Justice Department admission by saying Americans should not “hold your breath for a retraction from Joe Biden.”

“They blamed Russia when the Bidens knew it was Hunter, and so did the FBI,” she wrote. “Hunter also blamed Russia when he was caught using adultery site Ashley Madison.”

Other details in the new court documents included text messages between Hunter Biden and his former girlfriend and former sister-in-law, which discussed “smoking crack” while “sleeping in a car” and “waiting on a drug dealer” a mere two days after he purchased a firearm.

Attorneys for the son of President Joe Biden meanwhile claimed that the Justice Department was seeking to deprive the embattled fifty-three-year-old of his right to bear arms by invoking laws against gun ownership for those with a history of substance abuse. Prosecutors said in additional court documents that the motion from Hunter Biden would force judges to conclude that “under no set of circumstances may Congress prohibit the possession of firearms” from someone who poses a “risk of danger to public health and safety.”

Hunter Biden has yet to admit ownership of the laptop. His attorneys alleged last year that the computer shop owner, former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, and other Republicans had committed criminal acts through their investigation and were trying to “weaponize” the contents of the laptop to attack the Biden presidential campaign ahead of the election.
