New database reveals how many children have had transgender surgeries

Users can select their state and determine which hospitals in their areas provide the procedures, which are criticized by those who observe the physical harm they render and the impossibility of changing individual sex.

At least 5,700 minors have been subjected to so-called sex-change operations between 2019 and 2023, according to a new database launched this week by Do No Harm, a nationwide association of medical professionals combating leftist activism in the healthcare sector.

The database from Do No Harm examined hospitals and other health facilities across the United States, as well as analyzed insurance claim data to “properly assess which sex-change procedures each hospital and healthcare facility administered to minors,” all in the interest of “informing the public and shedding light on how prevalent these practices really are.”

Beyond those subjected to so-called sex-change surgeries, such as genital reconstructions or mastectomies, another 8,600 children received hormones or puberty blockers, while almost 62,700 prescriptions related to so-called sex-change procedures were written for minors.

Users can select their state and determine which hospitals in their areas provide the procedures, which are criticized by those who observe the physical harm they render and the impossibility of changing individual sex. Do No Harm identified twelve hospitals across the nation that are the worst offenders for child mutilation and called them the “Dirty Dozen.”

The worst hospital in the country was the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which has written almost 770 total prescriptions and handled over 120 so-called sex-change patients. Other particularly severe offenders included Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Children’s Minnesota, Seattle Children’s, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Beyond the number of procedures, Do No Harm also considered whether the facilities involved themselves in legislative activism “in favor of sex-change treatments” and community activism “such as promoting sex-change treatments among local schools and youth groups.”

Various government officials opposed to so-called sex-change procedures observe that influential medical entities such as the American Academy of Pediatrics have been steered by transgender activist organizations that insist the practices are medically necessary.
