We have seen at least some female athletes resist the absurdity of competing against men.
Just last fall, we saw at least four collegiate female volleyball teams forfeit scheduled matches against San Jose State University because the team had a member claiming to be a woman.
There are many documented instances of males severely injuring female rivals during volleyball matches, meaning that these schools made the hard but correct decision for their athletes.
That is probably also the case for sports that involve swinging swords at one another.
Mediocre men should stay in their own sports.
Stephanie Turner was seen taking a knee at a fencing competition after she learned that she would be fencing against Redmond Sullivan, a male claiming transgender identity as a female.
The video of Turner taking a knee as soon as the match started and then being expelled from the tournament at the University of Maryland went viral on social media. Turner later said that she wanted to “thank God for trusting me with this mission to fight for female exclusive sport.”
Turner revealed that she usually avoids tournaments with males entirely, but that she did not know Sullivan would be competing until the night before the event. The athlete told the referee: “I’m sorry, I cannot do this. I am a woman, and this is a man, and this is a women’s tournament.”
Redmond did not hear her forfeit the bout, so he walked over to Turner, thinking she may have been hurt. Turner told the man: “I have much love and respect for you, but I will not fence you.”
More of that humble boldness is badly needed.
We must offer the sort of clear and sober resistance to insanity modeled faithfully by Turner.
The only way for not only female sports, but our entire culture, to be rescued from the clutches of the wicked transgender movement is by standing firmly on the truth, especially the truth of nature and the revealed truth of the Bible, and refusing to comply with the mockery of reality.
Both men and women should stand against the insanity, and rally around people like Turner who face consequences or backlash for defending truth and common sense amid an ocean of lies.
