Concord Police Department in California revealed that an armed robbery suspect was fatally shot by a convenience store employee after the suspect demanded access to the store safe.
The suspect walked into the store and made his demand on Friday evening while brandishing a shotgun, according to eyewitness accounts provided to local news. But another store employee “hearing and seeing what was occurring, intervened firing his own weapon,” officers remarked.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. Gary Sharma, the owner of the store, has previously been robbed, and he is thankful for supportive customers and community members.
