Gun Pulse: Kash Patel wants to send hundreds of ATF agents to the FBI

FBI Director Kash Patel has plans to move some 1,000 agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to the FBI, substantially reducing the size of the agency.

 

The move from Patel, who was confirmed as Director of the FBI and appointed to serve as Acting Director of the ATF, would mean decreasing the number of ATF agents by more than a third. The federal gun control agency currently has 2,600 agents and over 5,000 employees.
