Kraft Heinz will remove artificial dyes from food products

The FDA approves seven certified color additives since they are also used in drugs and cosmetics, but the agency already banned FD&C Red No. 3 earlier this year.

Kraft Heinz announced on Tuesday that the company will remove artificial dyes from products sold in the United States by the end of 2027, a move which comes as the Trump administration calls for healthier food supplies with fewer artificial components.

 

The removal of FD&C colored dyes also comes as Kraft Heinz, one of the largest food and drink makers in the country, will not release any new products involving the substances.
