America First Legal released new photographs this week of President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, associating with his Chinese business partners and prominent government officials.
The images, taken during the tenure of President Barack Obama, shed light on “the connections between then-Vice President Biden, Hunter and his Chinese business associates, and Chinese government officials,” according to a statement from the conservative legal organization.
The photographs appear to show Biden introducing his son and Chinese President Xi Jinping, as well as Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao, and the current commander-in-chief taking pictures with Jonathan Li and Ming Xue, who were business associates of his son at private equity firm BHR Partners.
America First Legal said that attorneys for Obama and Biden “invoked an extension” of thirty working days to delay the release of the images until after the most recent election. The photographs were taken during a 2013 official trip across Asia, which included a stop in Beijing.
The legal nonprofit added that the Biden administration is still “preventing the release” of 182 out of the 313 photographs processed by the National Archives and Records Administration, announcing that they will “keep fighting for the release of these unlawfully withheld records.”
“Even while President Biden has pardoned his son, Hunter, for anything and everything ‘he has committed or may have committed or taken part in’ going all the way back to the year 2014, more evidence comes out each day showing how his family leveraged Joe Biden’s even longer career in public office for private gain,” America First Legal counsel Michael Ding remarked.
The organization contended that the photographs corroborate findings from Republican members of the House Oversight Committee, which previously concluded that Hunter Biden arranged for his father to meet executives from BHR Partners during the official visit to China.
The business relationships held by Hunter Biden in nations such as China allegedly financially benefited the broader Biden family in exchange for access to influence in the White House.
