Woke Wars: Chinese student votes in swing state election

That student was able to register for a ballot with nothing except for his student identification and a signed statement asserting that he is an American citizen.

Anyone who does not want these measures should be viewed with suspicion, because there is no reason to reject them, unless you simply do not want basic security in our elections. File Image.

We have heard from the leftists that we have secure elections.

We have even heard that the 2020 election was the most secure in history.

But even as the 2024 election went decisively for President-Elect Donald Trump, there emerged a number of stories warning us that our system is not entirely immune from shenanigans.

Here we go again.

We recently learned that a University of Michigan student who hails from China and is not an American citizen managed to cast a ballot in the state of Michigan.

The nineteen-year-old was indeed arrested and will be charged. One may think we can therefore conclude that the system worked and that our elections were protected.

That would be an incorrect conclusion.

Apparently the state of Michigan will still count his ballot because the vote was already tabulated and there is no way of retrieving the individual ballot at this point.

Makes a ton of sense.

That student was able to register for a ballot with nothing except for his student identification and a signed statement asserting that he is an American citizen.

There is a reason why the vast majority of Americans, whether they happen to be Republicans, Democrats, or independents, want photo identification and other basic election security features, including proof of citizenship, presented before a ballot can be cast.

We should all be completely fine with these basic security measures.

Anyone who does not want these measures should be viewed with suspicion, because there is no reason to reject them, unless you simply do not want basic security.

That is why we only ever see a very specific subset of progressive politicians advocating against these election security measures. Their motives are no mystery.

Only a hit dog hollers.
