Texas Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw faces an ethics complaint from the American Accountability Foundation after making threats to kill conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.
Crenshaw received backlash this week for saying on a hot mic after an interview that he has never met Carlson, who has been highly critical of the lawmaker over his support for sending foreign aid to Ukraine and Israel, and vowing that “if I ever meet him, I’ll f—ing kill him.”
When asked to clarify, Crenshaw instead doubled down, saying “no really, he’s the worst f—ing person ever,” prompting the American Accountability Foundation to write a letter addressed to the House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics requesting an investigation.
