Pro-abortion group threatens mass shooting at pro-life event

Jane’s Revenge, a militant pro-abortion terrorist group, has been credited for attacks all over the country.

Students for Life of America (SFLA) president Kristan Hawkins shared on December 3rd that Jane’s Revenge, a militant pro-abortion group, left a threatening note at an event venue where they were holding a class on pro-life activism.

Hawkins tweeted:

This morning in Nebraska, our team arrived for our SFLAction Political Leadership Workshop where we are gathering activists from across the state to strategize about how to use Students for Life’s Campaign for Abortion Free Cities to shut down the late-term abortion facility in the state. When we arrived, a death threat via guns from Jane’s Revenge was posted on the door. We’ve called the police and are scrambling to make it safe.

The note from Jane’s Revenge read:

If our right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away due to the attempt to pass an abortion ban and it gets passed we will shoot up your Newman Center with our new AR14 rifles. Sincerely, Jane’s Revenge

SFLA contacted the police immediately and relocated to a different event venue.

The Sentinel spoke with Titus Folks, Political Coordinator for Students for Life, who said that they have experienced multiple cases of violence at their events and generally have armed security present as a result.

“We are seeing an increase in violence from supporters of abortion violence,” Folks said. “My coworker in Indiana was assaulted at a rally after the Dobbs leak happened, and one of our students was assaulted while canvassing in Kansas for the Value Them Both Amendment.”

Violence against pro-life organizations has dramatically increased in recent months yet there is currently no large scale effort by state and federal law enforcement to crack down on the terrorism. The Crime Prevention Research Center released a study showing that there were 135 attacks on pro-life organizations and clinics between May and September.

The most recent attack by Jane’s Revenge was a new type of attack, according to Folks.

“I'm not aware of it ever being tied to an organized group before,” he said. “Other threats have been from individuals when tensions are high.”

SFLA president Kristan Hawkins wrote in a Newsweek op-ed earlier this year about the increase in violence even before Roe was overturned:

Sadly, the public discourse is changing for the worse, as peaceful protests turn more frequently into confrontations. Threats and acts of violence against pro-life activists are becoming increasingly common. Students for Life students and team members have endured everything from physical attacks and arson to bomb threats and intimidation, making security issues a vital concern and expense for pro-life events. When Justice Brett Kavanaugh—who was seen as a possible pro-life vote—was confirmed to the Supreme Court, protestors stormed the Court, banging on the doors.

The group Jane’s Revenge emerged after the May 2022 reversal of Roe v. Wade (through the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson) and has taken credit for fire bombings, vandalism, and other acts of violence against prolife facilities. The violent group declared “open season” in June against those who stood in the way of abortion.

Meanwhile, the FBI is busy arresting pro-life activists for peaceful demonstrations under the guise of the FACE act (legislation that restricts activities near abortion clinics).

According to a letter signed by 11 US Senators and 26 Congressmen:

...There have been no reports of FBI investigations or DOJ prosecutions in relation to the more than 72 pregnancy resource centers and 80 Catholic churches that have been attacked or vandalized since the Dobbs leak – heinous, violent, and organized crimes across state lines that are also subject to prosecution under the FACE Act.

The House Judiciary Committee released a report about the politicization of the FBI, and included Jane’s Revenge among the list of groups that have attacked pro-life organizations.

Since the leak of the draft Dobbs opinion, Jane's Revenge, a radical anti-life group, 'has claimed responsibility for at least 18 arson and vandalism attacks' on pro-life clinics and organizations. While the FBI claims that it is investigating a 'series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics' the FBI has not executed any SWAT team 'dawn' raids to make arrests in these cases.

The FBI has now begun an investigation into a fire-bombing in New York that was credited to Jane’s Revenge.
