Former Twitter exec attempted to censor the “Twitter Files” which exposed censorship

Jim Baker served as FBI general counsel before he was Twitter deputy general counsel. He was involved in the 2020 Twitter censorship and then surreptitiously vetted last week’s Twitter Files exposing his previous involvement.

Details continue to emerge pointing to collusion between Twitter, the Biden administration, and federal law enforcement.

Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

After releasing part one of the Twitter Files, a tell-all of how Twitter began censoring political content during 2020 elections, a few days went by without the next installment.

On Tuesday night, independent journalist Matt Taibbi posted a surprising plot twist:

Taibbi posted a quick profile of Jim Baker:

Baker was involved with both the Russian collusion hoax and suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, and was under criminal investigation due to a leak while he was in the Justice Department. The news that he was involved in vetting the Twitter Files caused concern that he was cleaning up potential ties between the FBI and Twitter’s censorship.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) tweeted calling on Baker to appear before the Senate for questioning about the FBI’s potential involvement in the 2020 election.

Staff editor at The Federalist, Sam Mangold-Lenett, tweeted: “Twitter is *one* tech company and this is the amount of effort the regime and its emissaries are exerting to keep the truth from coming out.”

Other ex-execs at Twitter are also scrambling to cover their involvement.

After initially admitting that Twitter was ‘wrong’ to censor the NY Post Hunter Biden laptop story, former Twitter exec Yoel Roth says that Elon Musk has now put former Twitter censors ‘in harm’s way.’

Roth led the “trust and safety” team at Twitter when they were censoring the Biden corruption story two weeks before the 2020 election.

Background

CEO Elon Musk coordinated the “Twitter Files” with independent journalist Matt Taibbi to release the story of how and why Twitter began censoring content, beginning with the Hunter Biden laptop story. Taibbi shared interviews with insiders, posted screenshots of internal emails, and shared insight as to how Twitter became involved with the 2020 election.

As the released documents showed, Twitter had intentionally switched from filtering offensive content to taking orders from political groups - including the Biden campaign. Taibbi said that “requests were honored” from both the Trump and Biden teams, but that content moderation leaned very hard to the Left due to those in charge.

Following over thirty tweets from Taibbi detailing what many would consider election tampering, the mainstream media downplayed the bombshell. Musk said it was due to leftist politics, tweeting, “...The New York Times has become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for far left politicians.”

According to Taibbi, the next installment of the Twitter Files will be released soon, but in the meantime, focus has turned to the unexpected revelations that have emerged from Baker’s involvement.
