Judge Julia Kobick extended a preliminary injunction Tuesday blocking President Donald Trump’s executive order that dared to require identification documents to identify who you actually are.

According to Kobick, the federal government failed “to demonstrate that its actions are substantially related to an important governmental interest.” In other words, making sure passports contain accurate information about who is crossing borders is not important enough.
The ACLU, a premier American reality-denial organization, celebrated this judicial activism as a “critical victory against discrimination” and a “historic win in the fight against this administration’s efforts to drive transgender people out of public life.”
