Woke Wars: The next impeachment circus has already started

They have absolutely no recourse to slow down the Trump agenda. They have no choice but to whine, moan, and press the big red impeachment button until something finally happens.

The first term of President Donald Trump was dominated by unhinged impeachment hoaxes.

There was the 2019 impeachment over abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. There was also the 2021 impeachment that followed the January 6 incursion into the United States Capitol.

In our modern political climate, impeachments seem to be much less about high crimes and misdemeanors, and more about slowing down the agenda of political rivals in the White House.

The latest move to stop the Orange Man.

Trump is once more facing impeachment charges, even though he has not completed a full month back in office, because of his floating of a plan to take over Gaza and rebuild the area.

Texas Democratic Representative Al Green accused the commander-in-chief of “dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.” The lawmaker accused Trump of embarking on a genocidal campaign against the people of Palestine amid the war between Hamas and Israel.

“Ethnic cleansing is not a joke, especially when it emanates from the President of the United States, the most powerful person in the world,” Green asserted. “Ethnic cleansing in Gaza is no joke, and the Prime Minister of Israel should be ashamed knowing the history of his people.”

To be clear, beyond the legitimate questions of whether the plan from Trump is indeed unfair to everyday people in Palestine, there are also plenty of conservatives who are not exactly eager to embark on another expensive and dangerous escapade of nation-building in the Middle East.

Those days were supposed to be over.

Trump may also be engaged in a negotiation process and pressure campaign between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and as with the tariffs imposed on Canada and Mexico, this may simply be a tactic meant to draw concessions from both sides that benefit the United States.
