Attorney General of New York referred to Justice Department for investigation

The agency told the Justice Department that the official had listed her residence in Virginia as her “principal residence” almost two years ago “despite being a statewide public office holder in the state of New York.”

New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James was referred to the Justice Department for investigation by the Federal Housing Finance Agency over a loan on her property in Virginia.

 

The agency told the Justice Department that the official had listed her residence in Virginia as her “principal residence” almost two years ago “despite being a statewide public office holder in the state of New York at that same time and primarily residing in the state of New York."
