Two illegal aliens from Mexico allegedly molested a fourteen-year-old boy on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship and are now facing several charges related to the suspected heinous conduct.
Jose Prudencio Diaz and Ricardo Daniel Mondragon Leal were both denied bond during a hearing on Saturday. The fourteen-year-old victim told police that he was aboard the cruise ship and was in a sauna with the two men when they started to pleasure themselves in front of him.
“The defendant, in this case, acting in concert with another defendant, they were both on a cruise,” a prosecutor remarked in court. “This shows that they tried to target a specific minor.”
The teenager was allegedly molested and forced to perform a sex act on Leal. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed on Tuesday that “both have ICE detainers on them” while one of them has HIV, vowing that “we will get these sickos out of our country.”
Noem and the broader Trump administration have prioritized securing the border and deporting illegal aliens in recent weeks, especially illegal aliens accused or convicted of criminal conduct.
Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks announced earlier this month that there were just over 8,300 apprehensions of illegal aliens in February, amounting to roughly 300 apprehensions each day, rendering the month of February “the lowest month in recorded history” for the United States.
