We are hearing a lot about tax reform in this present political moment.

President Donald Trump has floated decreasing our reliance on the income tax and instead hiking tariffs, as well as launching a new External Revenue Service to reflect that priority.

Many of us know that the income tax is unjust, since that tax pulls quite a substantial share of money directly from our pockets to burn those funds on a vast and corrupt administrative state.

But the property tax, carefully considered, is probably the most unjust tax in America.
