House Republicans voted last week to overturn California electric vehicle mandates approved by the administration of former President Joe Biden through a waiver granted to the state.

 

Environmental Protection Agency officials had permitted California to maintain rules ending the sale of conventional gasoline vehicles by the year 2035, specifically by allowing their regulations on light-duty vehicles and their low-nitrogen rule for heavy-duty highway and offroad vehicles.
